This private residence is a new build project which occupies a sensitive site in Dunham Massey. The site is within The Devisdale Conservation Area and designated Greenbelt. It is also within sight of the grade I listed historic National Trust site of Dunham Massey Hall.

The master plan design is based upon the layout of a traditional manor house; with the main house being set in its own grounds with a subsidiary outhouse / stable block and a formal landscaped walled garden. The front of the house is a closed and protective composition of rustic functional traditional detailing and materials with subtle elements of contemporary interpretation. In contrast, the emphasis of the rear of the house is a combination of traditional materials and detailing with a contemporary twist to create a more open aspect onto the private gardens and to create incredible views into the open countryside.
